The OptoMOS® line of power products uses dual power SCR outputs to produce an alternative to optocoupler and Triac circuits. These devices feature Rapid Turn-On (non-zero-cross) control of the output SCRs, which makes them ideal for precisely switching AC loads independent of the load voltage phase. The input and output circuits are optically coupled to provide from 3750Vrms to 5000Vrms of isolation and noise immunity between control and load circuits. Long life and environmental integrity make these Rapid Turn-On AC power switches ideal for controlling a variety of AC circuits in industrial environments where electromagnetic interference would disrupt the operation of electromechanical relays.
